NOTE: This is issue #084 of my newsletter, which went live on Monday, November 21st. If you find this information useful and interesting and you want to receive future issues as they are published, ahead of everyone else, I invite you to join the subscriber list at frontendnexus.com.

Last week was poor in major web industry news, but rich in software releases. In browser news, we got Firefox 107 and Safari Technology Preview 158. The release radar spotted some really big targets: TypeScript 4.9, Angular v15, Nuxt 3, Deno 1.28, and more. And the resources for this issue are a mix of icons, color tools, and typography utilities.

Browser news

Firefox

Firefox 107 just rolled out. This update is mostly about patching security issues, bug fixes, under-the-hood fine-tuning, and making it easier to debug WebExtensions in the DevTools.

WebKit

Safari users can now check more upcoming features with Safari Technology Preview 158. This update adds support for new CSS features (such as font-size-adjust or contain-intrinsic-size), AVIF image decoding on macOS, default WebCodecs, and more.
